At Holy Spirit Catholic Church we are fortunate to have beautiful stained glass windows and paintings throughout the church. As we are getting our website up and running here is a web gallery highlighting the features of the church which are meant to be useful items for meditating on our Savior Jesus Christ and focusing our attention on the sacred. Art reminds us of the truth and the beauty of the world we live in and the world beyond us. These aesthetic features allow a moment of reflection on our faith. We hope you enjoy this photo gallery.
“Christ himself made extensive use of images in his preaching, fully in keeping with his willingness to become, in the Incarnation, the icon of the unseen God.” ~ Pope John Paul II
“The Church needs art. In order to communicate the message entrusted to her by Christ, the Church needs art. Art must make perceptible, and as far as possible attractive, the world of the spirit, of the invisible, of God. It must therefore translate into meaningful terms that which is in itself ineffable. Art has a unique capacity to take one or other facet of the message and translate it into colors, shapes and sounds which nourish the intuition of those who look or listen. It does so without emptying the message itself of its transcendent value and its aura of mystery.” ~ Pope John Paul II
