FAITH FORMATION Policies

Registration:

Families of children enrolled in the program must also be registered with the parish.  Parents are the best example to their children.  It is important that each Sunday and Holy Day you worship as a family and participate in the parish Stewardship program.  The annual Registration Fee (Please see Terri for the application with faith formation registration fees).  Early registration is end of July to August.  NO CHILD will be refused if they are unable to pay.  Faith Formation is for all students not attending a Catholic School in Grades K-12.  Our Middle school and High School Youth Groups are open to all students both in Catholic School and public school or private school.  Please call our office to register your child. 

• Documents: At registration, please bring a copy of your child’s birth & baptism certificate if they are receiving First Communion.  If they are receiving Confirmation we need a copy of the baptism certificate.
• Sacraments: Children in grade 2 are usually prepared for First Reconciliation and First Communion.  Children in 9th grade (or above) are prepared for Confirmation. 

First Reconciliation/First Eucharist:  Students in Grade 2-3 are prepared for First Reconciliation and Eucharist.  Parents are required to attend parent meetings and students are required to attend class and other planned activities such as “Jesus Day”. 

Confirmation: Please see the schedule of each class.  In addition to these classes it is required they attend some special prep classes and parents & sponsors are required to attend these classes with their students prior to the Confirmation Date.
