Dear Families in Christ,
Here are some resources that are simple enough for everyone to use. Even with apps for Liturgy of the Hours, there is a barrier to entry because it is not a straightforward prayer. For my money, reading and discussing scripture is one of the simplest things we can recommend. It exposes people to the Living Word, encourages discussion about God and the Good News, and allows the Lord to speak to us through those we love.
Here are a few resources that may be helpful to our families. First, a guide to reading and discussing scripture for families with children. Next, guides for Lectio Divina and links to the scriptures of the day, and the best app I know of for guided meditations on scripture (you just need to select Lectio Divina). As we are able, we will also share family discussion questions based on the day’s scriptures. Keep in mind when I say family, I mean the entire Church. Distance can’t separate the body of Christ, and that has never been truer.

You can find the readings of the day (English and Spanish) at the USCCB website. Audio readings (English only) are also available.
I hope you find these resources helpful. If you would like help with anything else, please let us know!
