The Food Pantry is located in the front of the
school building on the first floor.
Our Holy Spirit Food Pantry serves the needy public with fresh produce, bakery goods, dry goods and canned foods. In addition, they typically can distribute laundry items and personal items as requested and when they have them on hand. The amount of food distributed to each household currently depends on the donations that we receive. Due to the low volume of donations, only 50 boxes of food can be distributed on each given day - Monday and Wednesday between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Clients may arrive to pick up food donations on a once-a-month basis.
Types of foods that we typically will receive as donations may include:
- pasta
- pasta sauce
- rice
- lentils
- beans
- pancake mix
- cake mix
- soups
- vegetables
- lunchables
- chili
- frozen meats such as: hamburg, sausage, chicken, turkey, ham & more
- occasionally, we receive eggs, cheese, & other dairy products
- fresh fruits & vegetables such as: potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, oranges, lettuce, onions, & others
Volunteers work on a daily or weekly basis. They fill boxes, stock shelves, distribute food to clients and enjoy their duties as they freely give of their time and talents. The food pantry always accepts food & monetary donations. To become part of our volunteer team, call the Food Ministry Assistant or our Holy Spirit office for more information.
