Ushers help make people feel welcome, help find available seats and introduce people to each other, take up the collection and ensure its safekeeping. They distribute bulletins or other material, assist those who need special help and answer questions. These tasks provide a wonderful opportunity for the families to minister together. This ministry expects mandatory attendance at Mass.

Who Can Become an Usher

• Fully initiated, active members of a parish.
• Be of sufficient age (at least 14 years old), maturity and temperament to undertake this ministry.
• Be physically able to exercise this ministry.
• This is a great opportunity for teens and young adults who may be looking for community service.
